Well I hope this message finds that everyone had a great Christmas and hopefully a Happy New Year. Luke is of course home and is enjoying it quite well! Kinda hard to walk in the new snow but hanging out with friends and chillin all day is a perfect way of spending the vacation. The Intrepid Center is opening in January, so a new place to work out will be an awesome experience. It will be one of a kind, state of the art. Tim, I believe is going to try to get down there, and I may venture down there for a view of the opening. Thats all I have for now. I will post pictures when I find my camera cord, however I think I left it at school, so the suspense will have to kill ya for now :).
"Drop the last year into the silent limbo of the past. Let it go, for it was imperfect, and thank God that it can go. "

Finish
ok-thought I would edit this!
It has been a successful 4 months since the accident and no new updates have been significant. Lukes progress amazing but still has many steps to cross. The support is still needed and although he may not show it, I'm pretty sure he appreciates it. A note of reminder, that although the scary stuff is over, hopefully, he is still rehabiliting in more ways than just his leg. Although I've been told and have read numerous articles on this subject, I sometimes forget that things he may say and do, does not reflect who he is to become. Things have been not only intersting, but difficult to those who are close to Luke, adjusting to a parent being gone, Luke's ranting and ravings, or just the idea of traveling and being worried about him. My mother told me when she had cancer that it is just another "lump" in the road, well not necessarily a lump, this definately is a bump, hole, hill or valley that Luke and his family need to overcome. Though things between Luke and I havent always been peachy keen or easy in any way the last year, we are pretty happy for the most part. Difficulties come and go, and some stay with you for longer than you anticipate, but either you adjust or you let it become the best of you. No matter how strong you are, some are going to bring you down, and often drag you all the way. Not everyone you meet is as strong as you think they are, and everyone needs support. Personally, I thank all those who have read this along the way and provided comments and additional emails. If anything major does come along, dont worry I WILL definately post it...like
- The steriods Luke is taking for blood have kicked his spleen into gear or out of high gear, either one, his blood level is normal for the first time! yea for Dr. Myhan (really can't spell that) and the team of doctors and Luke's arm for the numerous pokes.
- He is alone now in Texas. Tim drove the vehicle back and Luke is on his own and I believe enjoying it.
- Thats all I have.. Cant wait for break! Not only are my classes done this week, but I am going to spend a week in the cities working and playing to get away! A mini-kinda-vacation.
