Luke Schmitz Survived Iraq

Well folks, its a quiet day here at Fort Sam Houston. The weather is inching towards 100 degrees and the sun is shining. Luke slept most of the morning until I made him get up and eat lunch before PT. Ha, I sound like a mother. Tim, Nancy and I had a tour of the Fisher House. Nice place, a lot like Ronald McDonald Houses, so they put their name on the list to get in. This way they can cook and be in a house instead of a hotel setting, much nicer! Plus, no roaches, like I guess we have here at the Powless House..ewww, I DID NOT KNOW THAT. hehe. I booked my plane ticket home today, yes my stay here is coming to an end, school is just around the corner and working for money is always a need. I will be flying home next Tuesday then back to Bemidji for CPR training and Lifeguard refresher so I can keep my job at the Rec Center. Since it is such a quiet day with no real news, I thought I would give you a before and after picture of Luke and me. The first one is one of our first outings (outside of the old Grovers in DL), the second was leave in March before he was sent over. Enjoy! Big difference..haha
